26th National Software Competition (NSC) 2010
Come join in the prestigious National Software Competition (NSC)
Date: Saturday 18th Sep 2010
Time: 8.45am to 3.00pm
Venue: Singapore Polytechnic Convention Center
The NSC is an annual premier IT competition organised for secondary-level and JC-level students from secondary schools, junior colleges and international schools in Singapore.
Singapore Polytechnic and Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) are organising the 26th NSC, with support from the Ministry of Education (MOE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore Management University (SMU), Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF).
For the 26th NSC, three competition events are organised:
- Algorithm Team Event
- IT Quiz
- Lego Challenge
The IT Quiz and Lego Challenge catered only to secondary-level students.
The Algorithm Team Event is opened to both secondary-level and JC-level students
NSC is proud to be part of the National Infocomm Competition (NIC).
The NIC is a multi-themed inter-school challenge created to uncover the top infocomm talent in Singapore. Divided into three circuits - Secondary Schools, Junior Colleges and ITE/Polytechnics – the competition will encompass challenges focused on areas such as business IT, digital media, mobile technology, security & networking and more. Supported by MOE, the NIC is organised by IDA and the following organizations including National Technological University, National University of Singapore, Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore Management University, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Nanyang Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, ITE, Information Technology Standards Committee, Singapore Computer Society and Science Centre Singapore. The industry partners include Adobe, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems.
